EHang Holdings Limited, a leading Chinese autonomous aerial vehicle technology company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Southern Airlines General Aviation Company Limited (CSGAC), a leading Chinese general aviation service.

The partnership aims to support pilotless eVTOL flights through operational team training, vertiport infrastructure construction, flight service platform development, and maintenance standard establishment.

EHang and CSGAC plan to establish EH216-S demonstration sites for low-altitude tourism at the Zhuhai Jiuzhou Airport, Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, and other prominent tourist destinations in Zhuhai. After the demonstration sites are completed, they plan to launch regular eVTOL flights.

Analyst QuickTake: This partnership marks EHang's third collaboration in 2024, to develop and expand the low-altitude economy in China. Its first partnership in May 2024 with Xishan Tourism was to develop Taiyuan's low-altitude economy, followed by a second partnership in June 2024 with Wencheng County to further its efforts in the Zhejiang Province.
