Beyond Meat, a manufacturer of plant-based meat substitutes, has partnered with Panda Express to revive its "Beyond The Original Orange Chicken" due to significant consumer demand.

Beyond The Original Orange Chicken, a replication of Panda Express's traditional Orange Chicken, was initially launched in 2021 . The dish was sold out in two weeks, expanding to 70 additional locations, and Panda Express tested two other Beyond Meat products.

After its discontinuation, Beyond The Original Orange Chicken received over 7,000 signature petitions from consumers to be relaunched on Change.org. The petition led to its planned rerelease on July 15, 2024, aligning with the National Orange Chicken Day across hundreds of locations in the US.
