Drone Express launches drone-based delivery services in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Geographic expansion

  • Drone Express, the drone delivery arm of TELEGRID Technologies, has announced its expansion into Winston-Salem, North Carolina, its first project in the state.

  • The company will base its operations at the Southeast Plaza shopping center and offer drone-based deliveries for general consumer goods, food, and other items.

  • The company claims deliveries within 15 minutes.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Today’s expansion adds North Carolina to the list of US states in which Drone Express has conducted pilots, including California, New Jersey, Ohio, and Georgia. On a separate note, its peer startups such as Zipline, Matternet, and Flytrex have also tapped various cities in North Carolina for drone-based delivery projects.
