Archer Aviation reveals planned vertiport sites in Los Angeles

  • Archer Aviation, an NYSE-listed eVTOL aircraft manufacturer, has revealed the planned vertiport locations for its air taxi network in the Greater Los Angeles area. The company plans to launch commercial operations there in 2026.

  • The company coordinates with Los Angeles Rams, a national football sports club, to explore potential vertiport locations by SoFi stadium and Woodland Hills. Archer has also identified Orange County, Santa Monica, Hollywood Burbank, Long Beach, Van Nuys, and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as other vertiport locations.

  • Archer plans to offer passenger flights at the 2027 NFL Super Bowl and the 2028 Summer Olympics which will take place in LA.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Archer has recently made several efforts to expand its eVTOL operations and services throughout the US. These included its partnership in June 2024 with Kilroy Realty Corporation to establish air taxi routes in San Francisco and receiving funding in July 2024 from Stellantis to fund establishing its Georgia manufacturing site. Archer also partnered with Southwest Airlines to co-develop eVTOL air taxi networks in California and received authorization from the CAEATFA to construct its Californian manufacturing facilities in July 2024.
