Product updates

  • According to The Information, Meta is reportedly developing mixed-reality glasses codenamed Puffin, which may not be released until 2027.

  • The mixed-reality glasses are rumored to weigh around 110 g and may feature an external battery and processor pack. They are expected to use pancake lenses for a slimmer profile, offer video passthrough for viewing surroundings, and utilize hand and eye-tracking for controls.

  • Analyst QuickTake: It was reported that Meta planned to launch multiple products in 2026: Two versions of the Meta Quest 4 and the company's first AR glasses, codenamed "Hypernova." Additionally, the company scrapped work on a high-end headset aimed at competing with Apple’s Vision Pro.
