Drone Delivery Canada (DDC), a Canada-based drone and logistics systems developer, has completed its merger of equals with Volatus Aerospace for an undisclosed sum. Volatus will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Drone Delivery Canada.
The merger combines Volatus' commercialization expertise with Drone Delivery Canada's remote operations and logistics technology. The combined company will change its name to Volatus Aerospace Inc., leveraging the Volatus brand while maintaining Drone Delivery Canada's brand for cargo operations.
The merger is expected to create a consolidated and integrated aerial intelligence and logistics solutions provider, enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability through innovative aerial solutions across various industries.
Analyst QuickTake: DDC first announced the merger with Volatus Aerospace in May 2024, showcasing the synergistic potential of their combined efforts. Later in the month, the duo partnered to commercialize Volatus’ drone nesting station, “Volatus Aerieport.”
