xolo, a 3D printing company, has entered a co-branding agreement with Rousselot, Darling Ingredients' collagen and gelatin brand, to integrate the latter's X-Pure GelMA solution into its bio-inks for volumetric 3D printers.
The partnership will combine xolo's Xolography 3D printing technology, capable of printing complex cellular structures, with Rousselot's X-Pure gelatin methacrylate (GelMA) to allow users to produce stable and reproducible prints that support cell growth in bio-inks.
Analyst Quicktake : The healthcare sector has seen a steady influx of AM solutions, mainly in the dental industry. Earlier this year, Carbon partnered with SprintRay to offer a fixed hybrid dentures production solution (July), SprintRay launched a 3D printer compatible with dental models and retainer resins (May), and Eplus3D partnered with Scheftner to provide a dental product manufacturing solution (January).
