Ōura Health, the Finnish wearable technology company, has launched its next-generation smart ring, the Ring 4. Priced at USD 349, the Ring 4 replaces the earlier Ring 3 and is designed to provide more accurate health tracking.
The Ring 4 features approximately double the number of sensors compared to its predecessor, advanced algorithms tailored to individual physiology, and a sleeker titanium design with recessed sensors. It offers improved accuracy in blood oxygen levels and heart rate measurements, particularly during sleep.
According to an independent study, the Ring 4 provides a 30% improvement in blood oxygen data accuracy, significantly reduces gaps in heart rate measurement, and offers a 15% more accurate breathing disturbance index. The new model also boasts an improved battery life of up to eight days on a single charge.
Analyst QuickTake: In September 2024 , Ōura Health acquired metabolic health company Veri for an undisclosed sum. Through the acquisition, it planned to incorporate Veri's expertise to expand its offerings in metabolic health.
