Firefly Aerospace partners with Space Development Agency for military satellite demonstrations

Partnerships

  • Firefly Aerospace, a space transportation company, has been selected as a vendor for the United States Space Force's (USSF) Space Development Agency (SDA) under the Hybrid Acquisition for Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (HALO) program.

  • The partnership allows Firefly to bid on and support rapid end-to-end demonstration missions for SDA's military satellites using its Elytra orbital vehicles. These missions will include launch, on-orbit transport, and tracking services, to be delivered within 18 months of each award to advance SDA's national security objectives.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Firefly Aerospace was also selected to work on the USSF's VICTUS HAZE mission, alongside its partner True Anomaly in October 2024 . The company also provided launch services for the USSF's Victus Nox mission in September 2023 .
