Almaviva acquires Iteris to expand smart mobility infrastructure management capabilities

M&A

  • Iteris, a provider of smart mobility infrastructure management solutions, has been acquired by Almaviva S.p.A., an Italian digital innovation group. As a result, Iteris' common stock has ceased trading on Nasdaq.

  • Iteris offers cloud-enabled solutions to help public transportation agencies, municipalities, and commercial entities monitor, visualize, and optimize mobility infrastructure. The company provides advanced detection sensors, mobility and traffic data, SaaS offerings, and consulting services.

  • Following the acquisition, Iteris will continue to operate as a separate legal entity under its brand, led by current president and CEO Joe Bergera. The company aims to leverage Almaviva's global network and expertise to expand its ClearMobility platform and accelerate innovation in digital mobility solutions.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Almaviva first entered a definitive agreement to acquire Iteris for USD 335 million in August 2024.
