Dexa (formerly Drone Express), TELEGRID Technologies' drone delivery arm, has received the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA's) Part 107 Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight (BVLOS) waiver for drone operations in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This waiver allows its drones to fly beyond the pilot's direct visual oversight.
The waiver enables Dexa to conduct longer-distance flights and operate in traditionally restricted airspace, expanding its delivery range and operational capabilities.
Dexa is also participating in the Part 135 Unmanned Domestic Air Carrier Certification program and will be among the few companies certified for unmanned BVLOS deliveries in the US upon approval.
Analyst QuickTake: Dexa expanded its operations to Winston-Salem, North Carolina , in July 2024, marking its first project in the state. Today’s waiver, we believe, will help the company scale operations in the area.
