Stratasys to introduce GrabCAD IoT platform at Formnext

Industry news

  • Stratasys, a provider of polymer printing 3D solutions, has introduced GrabCAD, an IoT platform, at the Formnext 2024 additive manufacturing expo in Germany.

  • The platform offers real-time data collection, monitoring, and remote diagnostics capabilities, allowing customers to track printer fleet performance and address issues before they disrupt production. Using MTConnect standards, the platform can reportedly improve operational efficiency and minimize printer downtime through preventative maintenance.

  • The platform is available to customers with GrabCAD Streamline Pro software and new PolyJet J3/J5 Series printers.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Stratasys has consistently expanded its product portfolio despite recent turmoil when it laid off 15% of its workforce to generate USD 40 million in annual cost savings. Over the last two months, it launched the “ Neo build ” processor for investment casting, the Origin Two digital light processing (DLP) printer, and a post-processing system named "Origin Cure."
