Delivery Hero, the Berlin-based online food delivery platform, has divested a USD 150 million worth stake in Latin-American delivery company Rappi. The company, through a series of transactions during the past few months, has sold the majority of its total invested capital and currently only holds a 7.9% stake on a fully diluted basis, valued at more than USD 400 million by a Series F valuation. The company first invested in Rappi in its Series B.
<ul><li>As per the company, it intends to focus on capital allocations and investments that are aligned with the company’s strategic vision. In December 2021, Delivery Hero scaled down its FoodPanda operations in Germany and sold it in Japan. Delivery Hero also acquired an additional stake of 39.4% in the Spanish food delivery platform Glovo.</ul>
