Trucker Path, a US-based provider of online and mobile services for trucking (acquired by Chinese firm Renren), has partnered with Loadsmart, an online freight matching solutions provider, to offer better load booking services to its users in North America.
As per the deal, the company will integrate its online freight matching app “Truckloads,” with Loadsmart’s platform, allowing Truckloads’ 1+ million users to access load opportunities posted on the latter for instant booking or bidding.
Trucker Path, acquired by Chinese social networking and internet finance firm Renren in 2018, provides both route planning services via its “Trucker Path” app released in 2013 and freight matching services via its “Truckloads” app released in 2015.

Analyst QuickTake: This is not the first time Loadsmart entered into partnerships with peer freight matching solutions providers. In fact, the company partnered with its peer company SmartHop, in December 2020, to offer more load opportunities to its drivers. Other similar integrations include SmartHop partnering with DAT Freight & Analytics, an operator of a truckload freight marketplace in North America, last July.
