Hyper Food Robotics, an Israeli developer of automated robotic restaurants, has deployed its first robot at a Pizza Hut in Bnei Dror, Israel.
The customers can place the order via the attached touchscreen or through the Pizza Hut app, upon which the pizza will be prepared, boxed, and dispensed into a tray. Currently, it requires employees to hand it over to customers, but the company is looking to improve the robot to dispense pizza directly to the customer in the future.

Analyst Quicktake: The news comes just two months after Hyper Food Robotics first introduced its robotic pizza restaurant concept to the market. Launching its robot at a Pizza Hut restaurant first is no surprise as the startup was co-founded by Pizza Hut Israel CEO Udi Shamai, who oversees 90 Pizza Huts across the country. Hyper Food Robotics now joins a handful of pizza-making robot developers in the industry, including Picnic, Pazzi, xRobotics, and Piestro.
