i2c, a payment and banking FinTech infrastructure provider, has partnered with KARTY, a Qatari company providing digital financial solutions to MEA, to launch a digital-first prepaid mobile wallet in Qatar.
The wallet will leverage i2c’s partnerships with Visa to deliver Visa-branded digital cards for real-time peer-to-peer (P2P) payments.
The mobile wallet also consists of data-backed financial management tools that help users simplify budgeting and gain better insights into their spending patterns, across several categories including groceries, transportation, and healthcare.

Analyst QuickTake: This partnership shows the commitment of i2c to expand in the Middle Eastern market, as it comes two months after BEYON Money partnered with the company to roll out a digital wallet in Bahrain. The digital wallet partnerships leverage Visa’s card network and therefore benefit from i2c’s deep relationship with Visa. This includes i2c being part of Visa’s Fintech Fast Track program (the first enablement partner active in all of the program’s four regions ) and also extending its partnership in August 2021 to leverage “Visa Installments” and let its users offer point of sale installments/BNPL facilities.
