Semrush, a search engine optimization (SEO) tool, acquired Kompyte, a competitive intelligence and campaign automation platform, for an undisclosed amount.
Kompyte’s platform provides a variety of competitive and market analysis tools for marketing, sales, and product development teams to automate and provide intelligence and analysis on competitors. The firm claims that 88% of its total users are sales teams and includes Fortune 500 firms in more than 20 industries.
With the acquisition, Semrush expands the scope of its services beyond marketing to include sales and product development teams. In addition, the acquisition will enhance Semrush’s competitive intelligence product offerings by integrating Kompyte’s central hub for competitor information, which is expected to improve win rates and improve efficiency.
