Starship Technologies, an autonomous delivery droid manufacturer, has expanded its market reach by introducing its droids in Finland. The company has partnered with Finnish grocery store chain Alepa, owned by HOK-Elanto Group, to commence droid-based grocery deliveries from six Alepa stores in Espoo later this month, with plans to include more locations depending on the success.
The company also revealed its plans to partner with more Finnish retailers to provide deliveries in the future. Starship Technologies is also expanding its R&D center in Helsinki.

Analyst QuickTake: The news comes on the heels of Starship Technologies having raised USD 42 million in Series B funding, partially to expand its market reach in Europe and the US. The company already has established commercial operations in the UK and the US and has also conducted delivery trials in other European countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Estonia.
