Cybersecurity firm Trend Micro, SASE specialist Netskope, and zero-trust startup Banyan have announced new products and features leveraging generative AI for cybersecurity and addressing related issues.

Trend Micro announced the launch of “Vision One,” an evolution of its platform integrating generative AI with its existing offering. Vision One’s AI assistant, “Companion,” will reportedly allow security analysts to run threat detection and remediation workflows using natural language commands.

Netskope announced a new feature suite for its intelligent, secure service edge (SSE) platform, aiming to secure ChatGPT and similar applications. The upgrade offers visibility and monitoring tools for generative AI apps, usage trends and analysis, access controls, security training and user warnings, and data protection controls.

Similarly, Banyan’s new product provides security teams visibility of employees' usage of web apps, automatically classifying each based on links to LLMs and generative AI. The solution integrates with access control platforms to provide a range of configuration options, including access limitation and domain blocking.

Analyst QuickTake: Many firms in the cybersecurity space, including Google Cloud , Zscaler , ZeroFox , SentinelOne , Crowdstrike , and Darktrace , have launched similar products and features in recent months, either leveraging generative AI to simplify and augment cybersecurity workflows or to address data leakage issues brought about by the usage of tools like ChatGPT.
