Blink manufactures and operates level 2 EV charging stations across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. The company had a US market share of around 3% (as of 2020) in terms of the number of charging stations in operation. There were 28,291 Blink chargers deployed as of September 2021, with around 63% of them in the US.

In April 2022, Blink acquired EB Charging, a British charging station developer, marking Blink’s first entry into the UK and adding 1,150+ chargers to its portfolio. In March 2023, Blink rebranded EB Charging to Blink Charging UK. In June 2022, Blink acquired SemaConnect, the third-largest EV charging infrastructure manufacturer in North America in terms of total charging stations deployed. The deal added around 13,000 EV chargers and 3,800 site locations to Blink’s portfolio. In October 2022, Blink committed to establishing a new 200,000 sqft. manufacturing facility in the US, with an initial production capacity of 10,000 DCFC, and 20,000 – 40,000 Level 2 (AC) chargers.

The company offers four charging station ownership models. In the hybrid ownership model, Blink covers the cost of equipment, operations, and administration, where the partner provides the site; Blink gets to keep the entire charging fee revenue under this model. In the Blink-owned model, the company covers all costs but shares a portion of revenue with site owners. Through the host-owned model, Blink earns revenue by selling the charging station to the host outright, while under the Blink-as-a-Service model, hosts can lease the charging station from Blink for a monthly subscription. In the last two models, Blink does not participate in any charging fee revenue.

In March 2024 , Blink established its global headquarters in a 15,000 sq ft facility in Maryland. The company also plans to increase its manufacturing capacity by constructing a new 30,000 sq ft production facility in Maryland.
