Studytube

Studytube allows companies and governments to create and distribute bespoke training content, provide their employees with access to a library of third-party content, and monitor employee development using built-in management tools. Founded in 2010, Studytube is a comprehensive learning solution that includes an online academy, a learning management system (LMS), an online training library of microlearning units and training modules, a digital training assistant, and an authoring tool. Studytube also provides procurement support by helping organizations search, book, coordinate, invoice, and evaluate training content, and receive discounts from training providers affiliated with Studytube. As of February 2022, the company had 500,000+ users across 300 organizations, and reported that learning products worth EUR 50 million (~USD 57.5 million) were acquired through its marketplaces in 2021. 

In February 2022, the company acquired Springest, a training-booking marketplace, for an undisclosed figure. In June 2022, Studytube acquired SPEAKRS, a platform featuring motivational speakers, to strengthen Studytube’s learning suite with the addition of 100+ masterclasses by distinguished individuals. In August 2023, Springest was acquired by Archipel Academy, but Studytube will continue to serve a few selected clients.

Funding and financials

In February 2022, the company raised USD 30 million in a Series B funding round co-led by Energy Impact Partners (EIP) and existing investor Verdane Capital, to be used to expand the team and be directed toward a European expansion via M&A. In July 2020, the company received an investment of EUR 10 million (USD 12.1 million) from Verdane.
