Germany-based GEFERTEC offers a range of 3D printers for Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM). The company’s hardware integrates with Siemens NX CAM, a design and tooling system, to enable users to import their designs and print ready-to-use components. The company’s e-arc printer series usewire as a starting material, and supports a range of around 30 metal alloys. Additionally, the company also provides supplementary solutions such as temperature tracking via an integrated Sensortherm pyrometer, a cooling system, and an automatic welding torch cleaning system.
In March 2024, Gefertec introduced Arc80x, a modular WAAM printer that enables users to produce large components with minimal material waste. Moreover, the printer offers a modular design that can be customized as required and provides support for a range of materials including metals and alloys. The company also claims the product eliminates expensive tooling requirements and shortens lead times.
