Based in Canada, Avidbots is a manufacturer of autonomous floor scrubbing robots named “Neo,” targeting retail, manufacturing, warehousing, education, healthcare, and aviation industries. The company operates in five continents with offices in the US, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Colombia. The company adopts a direct sales method in the North American market and sells through distributors in the UK and APAC.
Avidbots’ latest version “Neo 2” is equipped with proprietary software that enables sensor-equipped robots to understand the operating environment and adjust accordingly. The robots also use advanced localization algorithms for better navigation, requiring minimal micromanagement. Through the Avidbots command center, which is linked to the robots, customers can monitor, manage, and track the utilized fleet and obtain detailed reports on operations and productivity. Neo robots, which are offered on a rental or robot-as-a-service basis, can work up to six hours without a recharge, covering an area of up to 42,000 square feet an hour. Using electrostatic spraying technology, the robot can also be used to disinfect high-touch, 3D surfaces.
In April 2024, Avidbots launched "Kas," a fully autonomous floor scrubber designed to serve diverse sectors including retail, transportation, health care, and education. Kas is powered by Avidbots Autonomy, the company’s proprietary AI software, and has a sensor system that includes 15 sensors.
