The Bosch Group (Bosch) is a privately owned global supplier of technology and services, headquartered in Germany. Bosch was founded in 1886 and currently consists of Robert Bosch GmbH and its 468 subsidiaries and regional companies located in 60 countries. Robert Bosch GmbH is primarily owned by the charitable foundation Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, which holds 94% of the share capital, with the remaining shares split between Robert Bosch GmbH and a corporation owned by the Bosch family. Voting rights are mostly controlled by Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, an industrial trust, which also manages the entrepreneurial ownership functions. Bosch generated EUR 88.2 billion (~USD 92.6 billion) in revenue in 2022. 

Bosch’s business units include Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. Leveraging its expertise in sensor technology, software, and services, along with its proprietary IoT cloud, Bosch delivers integrated solutions spanning various domains including smart homes, Industry 4.0, and connected mobility. The company encompasses over 60 brands, including Thermador, WeWash, Home Connect, etc., which are tailored to meet specific market requirements. According to the company’s strategic objective, it aims to enhance connected lifestyles through products and solutions embedded with AI or developed and produced with it.

In 2022, nearly half of the company's revenue came from its European operations. Bosch has announced plans to realign its automotive supply business and rename it Bosch Mobility in response to changing market and customer requirements. Additionally, the company emphasizes digitalization and connectivity to enhance customer benefits, increase service-based revenue, and boost efficiency. Bosch Group achieved carbon neutrality in 2020 and is actively advancing its energy system transformation and investments in sustainable technologies.
