Quartet Health

Quartet Health is a health tech company that provides an online platform and app through which healthcare providers, teletherapy/telepsychiatry providers, and health plans can collaborate to provide users with mental health care. The platform connects users to a personalized care team consisting of mental health providers and primary care providers and employs a collaborative approach to care where primary care physicians are supported with data and resources to identify patients with mental health conditions. By sharing treatment plans, primary care and mental health providers can support the overall mental and physical health of their patients. 

The company’s platform incorporates measurement-based care, focusing on whole-person outcomes rather than the traditional fee-for-service model. This approach allows consistent tracking of patient progress and outcomes across all clinicians and patients. In November 2022, the company launched a virtual clinic to treat patients diagnosed with moderate to serious mental illness (SMI). The clinic treats users via measurement-based care, utilizing a multidisciplinary team that consists of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, clinical social workers, nurse care managers, and patient care coordinators. Services provided include biopsychosocial assessments, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, follow-up visits, and ongoing psychotherapy.

In July 2021, Quartet acquired InnovaTel Telepsychiatry as part of its strategy to enhance its care delivery capabilities. This acquisition has contributed to Quartet's significant growth, with the company employing over 200 clinicians, having more than 20,000 providers on its platform, and serving over half a million patients annually as of September 2022.

Key customers and partnerships

In December 2021, the company partnered with Philadelphia insurance company Independence Health Group to enhance its data and analytics capabilities, expand services offered to Independence Health’s mental health care provider network, screen individuals and provide actionable insights, as well as support additional health conditions and populations. Furthermore, in March 2024, Quartet Health partnered with Clover Health to provide behavioral healthcare to Clover members with severe mental illness through Clover Home Care.
