Founded in 2021, Siriusjet is a Swiss aviation and aerospace startup that develops and manufactures passenger eVTOL for commercial use by harnessing hydrogen-electric technology.
The company’s line of Sirius Jets are hydrogen-electric eVTOL aircrafts, with the Sirius CEO-Jet and the Adventure Jet being unveiled in June 2024.
The Sirius CEO-Jet is designed for private business use. It is capable of reaching a cruise speed of 323 miles per hour with a maximum range of ~1,150 miles and can carry a pilot and two passengers with a payload of ~740 pounds. Sirius’s CEO-Jet uses a deflected vectored thrust propulsion system, with 28 ducted fans, and is also equipped with an emergency ballistic parachute system. The CEO-Jet is claimed to be a zero-emission sustainable aircraft and has lower noise pollution at less than 60 decibels.
Sirius’s Adventure Jet has an identical cruise speed as the CEO-Jet. Its range is ~650 miles by default but is able to reach ~1,150 miles once equipped with additional fuel tanks. The Adventure Jet can carry a pilot and five passengers with a payload of ~3,050 pounds. The Adventure Jet uses the same propulsion, parachute system and ducted fans as the CEO-Jet and is also claimed to be sustainable and with low noise pollution but has an additional 28 electric motors. The Adventure Jet is designed for cargo and passenger transport and can also be used for medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, offshore operations, and surveillance.
Siriusjet expected to achieve commercialization by 2027 and had plans to launch its services across the US, Europe, and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries by 2028.
