Xenia Materials

Based in Italy, Xenia Materials provides a range of 3D printing materials for a range of additive manufacturing applications. The company offers resins composed of thermoplastic composites and carbon fiber, which can be used in pellet-based fused deposition modeling (FDM) printers for large-scale additive manufacturing (LSAM) production and high-precision production. 

Xenia Materials' product portfolio includes thermoplastic composite materials such as 1) XECARB, a carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite, offering variations in carbon fiber content and base polymers,  2) XELIGHT, a light AM material designed for sports, 3) XEGLASS, a thermoplastic composite reinforced with glass fiber, and 4) XEGREEN, a recycled AM material.

In February 2024, Xenia Materials launched XEGREEN 23-C20-3DP, a new carbon fiber-based material for large format additive manufacturing (LFAM) technology. Made fully from recycled materials and available in granule form, the material offers performance in low-temperature settings, across several uses including prototypes, master molds, and finished parts. It went on to launch 4 more filaments for Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) in November 2024. The new filament lineup includes XECARB SL 3DF (a PA11-based composite with 15% carbon fiber), XELIGHT 3DF (an ultralight PEBA filament), XECARB 45 3DF (a PVDF composition with 10% carbon fiber), and XEGREEN 23 3DF (a recycled PETG-based composite with 20% carbon fiber). The filaments offer various benefits, including lightweight design, high chemical resistance, structural strength, and environmental sustainability and are suitable for rapid prototyping, composite tooling, and precision parts production across multiple sectors, including aerospace, automotive, and construction.
