Swiss-Italian xFarm Technologies uses AI, IoT, and connected sensors to provide crop management services via a web and mobile app targeting stakeholders in the agri-food industry. The company  was formed in December 2021 following a merger between digital farm management platform xFarm and irrigation platform Farm Technologies. The company’s farm management services include weather alerts, satellite imagery, field mapping, irrigation and pesticide recommendations, precision farming support as well as a finance module to help farmers keep track of prices. The company claims that users can improve decision-making and reduce resource wastage and uncertainty by using its solution. As of August 2022, xFarm provided services to almost 110,000 farms across 30 agrifood customers in 100 countries covering 1.5 million hectares.

The company also supports the trends toward industry 4.0, offering whitelabel solutions by partnering with players across the agricultural supply chain such as  Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), agri-Input producers, and banking and insurance companies to provide them with customized solutions to digitize their operations.

The company offers its services based on the “freemium” model, where users can sign up for free and use the base version of the platform and can choose paid packages starting from EUR 199 per year upto EUR 2690 per year for access to more features and hardware (sensor kit).
