Automation Anywhere offers a cloud-based platform that enables citizen and professional developers to orchestrate processes and create end-to-end automations across the finance, HR, and customer service business functions. Named the “Automation Success Platform,” it provides a suite of solutions including: 1) A GenAI-powered co-pilot solution that converts natural language prompts to automations; 2) A no-code process composing interface; 3) A document processing solution that enables users to extract and embed document data into workflows; and 4) Robotic process automation (RPA) bot-building tools.
The platform’s function-specific solutions include procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and tax automation solutions for accounting teams, order management, and complaint resolution solutions for sales teams, and vendor onboarding and procurement solutions for operations teams.
The platform also offers an API-as-a-service solution that offers low-latency APIs as pre-built packages to enable developers to integrate automations across multiple third-party applications. Users can also transform APIs into no-code automation building blocks to build automations at scale and reuse assets when required. As of October 2023, the company also offered over 1,200 of pre-built connectors to enterprise workflow apps, such as MuleSoft, Salesforce, Workato, ServiceNow, Boomi, Alteryx, and Pipefy.
Automation Anywhere leverages custom GenAI automation models trained on anonymized metadata from millions of automations as a foundation for many of its products. Named the “Responsible AI Layer,” the company integrates this layer into its tools to add a range of use cases, such as email triage and routing for customer service teams, anti-money laundering alerts and reporting for banks, and after-visit summaries for patients in healthcare. In June 2024, it launched the “AI + Automation Enterprise System,” which aimed to infuse GenAI technology across a range of its workflow automation products. It includes a low-code development studio, which enables users to create and manage custom AI Agents that can make informed decisions and perform automated actions across enterprise systems. The system is powered by the company’s new GenAI process models that are trained on metadata from over 300 million process automations running on the platform.
Moreover, the company has also expanded its offerings through acquisitions. The company acquired Cathyos Labs, an Indian product engineering company, and KlevOps, a French RPA startup, in 2019. Automation Anywhere leveraged the acquisition of Cathyos to add to its engineering team, increase product development, and support its expansion in Asia, and KlevOps to expand its RPA solutions. The company went on to acquire FortressIQ, a process mining company, in December 2021, to offer process discovery, intelligence, and optimization solutions to its customers.

In December 2023, It entered with a multi-year strategic partnership with AWS to enhance its capabilities in AI applications and intelligent automation and develop industry-specific automation solutions. It went on to expand its partnerships with AWS and Microsoft in June 2024 to integrate Q, Amazon’s GenAI assistant, and Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI service into its platform. The integrations enabled the company to enhance the capabilities of virtual AI agents created via the Automation Anywhere platform, enabling users to automate more complex tasks. Users can leverage Amazon Q to program agents to answer queries, provide summaries, generate content, and complete tasks based on enterprise data.
