California-based Suki develops application programming interfaces (APIs) to automate clinical administrative tasks using natural language processing and machine learning. Suki collects relevant spoken information during patient visits and integrates it into the electronic health record (EHR). The platform is available for any clinical setting and specialty.

As of July 2024, the company claims to help clinicians speed up their note taking process by 72% on average, support other tasks such as coding and dictation, and generate a 9x ROI in incremental revenue for organizations during year one of implementing Suki. Additionally, the company’s reach covered over 90 million patients across 55 health plans.

In May 2024, Suki was awarded a national group purchasing agreement with healthcare improvement organization Premier for its AI-powered scribe, Suki Assistant. The deal, which was effective from May 1, 2024, allowed Premier's members to access Suki Assistant.

Key customers and partnerships

Most recently, in October 2024, Suki partnered with video-conferencing company Zoom to integrate AI-powered note-taking capabilities into its the Zoom for Healthcare platform to provide features such as ambient scribing, clinical note generation, and suggested ICD-10 billing codes.

In September 2024, the company partnered with MEDITECH, an electronic health record system provider, to deploy its voice AI assistant in more than 12 health systems. The partnership integrated Suki's AI assistant with MEDITECH Expanse, allowing clinicians to use voice commands for EHR tasks. The collaboration aimed to reduce healthcare providers' administrative workload and enhance patient care.

Suki then partnered with Amwell in March 2024 to integrate Suki’s system to reduce healthcare providers' documentation burden. Through the partnership, Suki's AI voice recognition technology was integrated into Amwell’s Converge telehealth platform enabling clinicians across over 2,000 hospitals using the platform to have access to better, faster clinical documentation capabilities and freeing up time to focus on patients.

In July 2024, Suki partnered with several Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Community Health Centers. Partnered health providers include the Utah Navajo Health System (UNHS), CenterPlace Health, Access Health Louisiana, and PrimeCare Health. The partnership aimed to leverage Suki's voice AI assistant to help clinicians at these centers streamline documentation and administrative tasks, allowing them to focus more on patient care.

Suki also partnered with omo, an AI solution provider and subsidiary of Hoag Health, in December 2023 to offer an AI Assistant to over 1,000 clinicians. Through the partnership, omo and Suki agreed to deliver a best-in-class AI assistant to clinicians in order to preserve the independent practice of medicine and improve the work-life balance.
