Pixion Games

UK-based Pixion Games is the developer of Fableborne, a free-to-play mobile-first, blockchain-based game that combines action role-playing and base-building elements. The game, which operates on the Avalanche network, involves base building and hack'n'slash elements with dual-stick control and allows players to engage in player-versus-player (PvP) combat, build bases, raid opponents, and upgrade buildings and heroes. Players can collect and upgrade non-fungible digital characters known as “Echoes” and use them during raids. Additionally, players can find resources in the elemental quadrants of the game's world, the Shatterlands, and use them for upgrades. 

Players can obtain non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the game, which verify their ownership of in-game assets. These NFTs can be obtained by purchasing them from the market, participating in in-game activities, or winning them in tournaments and events. The game's utility token can be used to upgrade and maintain these NFTs.

In February 2023, Pixion Games launched the Fableborne Creator Program, an initiative aimed at supporting content creators in the gaming community. The program offers a range of benefits to creators, including exclusive bounties, early access to updates, whitelisting spots for the upcoming Fableborne NFT Mint, and free NFTs for the most engaged creators.

As of January 2024, the game was in a closed alpha state.

Funding and financials

In June 2023, Pixion Games raised USD 5.5 million in an extension of its seed funding round. The newly acquired funds will be directed toward accelerating the development of Pixion Games' flagship game, Fableborne, including Pixion League, an in-app tournament platform, and enhancing LiveOps for free-to-play games.
