PepsiCo (NASDAQ: PEP) offers convenient foods and beverages under more than 500 brands, including Lay’s, Doritos, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Cheetos, Mountain Dew, Quaker, and SodaStream. The company was incorporated in the State of Delaware in 1919 and reincorporated in North Carolina in 1986. PepsiCo’s products are consumed more than a billion times a day in more than 200 countries and regions, accounting for ~24.3% of the global carbonated soft drinks market in 2022. The company generated USD 91.5 billion in revenue in 2023.

The PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) segment was the largest, having generated ~30% of total revenue in 2023, followed by Frito-Lay North America (FLNA), accounting for ~27%. More than 57% of PepsiCo’s unit sales were from the US in 2023.

Since 2022, PepsiCo has shifted its focus toward “fast-growing and highly profitable” areas, and, in line with this, divested Tropicana, Naked, and other select juice brands, expanding distribution of low-alcohol products in the US. Moreover, with its Pep+ goals, with the underlying sectors of positive agriculture, positive value chain, and positive choices, PepsiCo aims to use 100% sustainable resources by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2040.
