Blue Apron partners with Amazon to make meal kits available for purchase via Amazon

Partnerships

  • Blue Apron, a US-based meal kit delivery platform, has partnered with Amazon to make its meal kits available to purchase via Amazon.

  • The meal kits will be available for purchase through the US Amazon store and will include a range of two-serving and four-serving meal kits. Blue Apron's prepared meal option "heat and eat" will also be available for purchase via Amazon and with limited time offer meals and seasonal meal kits to be made available in the future.

  • As per the partnership the ordering will be handled through Amazon while the fulfillment services will still be handled by Blue Apron.

  • Analyst QuickTake : The partnership will allow Blue Apron to reach a larger customer base and also provide the company an opportunity to reach new customers that do not have a Blue Apron subscription. During the year the company has had several other partnerships to expand its customer reach.  In June 2022 , Blue Apron partnered with Walmart to offer its meal kits through Walmart’s online platform, and in August 2022 , the company partnered with the US-based wedding registry store, The Knot, to allow wedding guests to offer meal kits as gifts to newlyweds.
