Kodiak Robotics, an autonomous truck manufacturer, has announced a partnership with truckload carrier company C.R. England to autonomously haul Tyson Foods products between Dallas and San Antonio, Texas, using Kodiak’s self-driving trucks attached with C.R. England refrigerated trailers. The partnership will initially be launched as a pilot later this month and will be conducted with a safety driver on board to take control if needed.
C.R. England has also joined Kodiak’s Partner Deployment Program, which will help C.R. England to integrate Kodiak’s self-driving technology into its fleet. C.R. England believes that the partnership with Kodiak will enable the company to achieve reliable and on-time delivery goals, which are critical success factors for a company that handles perishable food products.
