Aurora Innovation pilots refrigerated trucking service in partnership with Hirschbach Motor Lines

Partnerships

  • Aurora Innovation (Aurora), an autonomous vehicle technology startup, has announced a partnership with the refrigerated trucking solution provider, Hirschbach Motor Lines, to launch a new refrigerated trucking service.

  • The two companies will initially launch a commercial pilot of the service to test and deploy the service between Dallas and Houston. Aurora’s trucking terminal in Dallas will support the commercial driverless operations for the refrigerated trailers.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The partnership enables Aurora to expand its product portfolio to support carriers and shippers with the need to deliver time-sensitive refrigerated goods. Other truck tech companies that have expanded their product portfolio to cater to refrigerated trucking needs include Bollinger Motors and Kodiak Robotics
