Partnerships

  • Upcycled Foods Inc, previously known as ReGrained, a producer of upcycled snacks (such as bars and puffs) from the grain waste originating from beer production, has partnered with Stone & Skillet, LLC, an English muffin producer, to introduce the Super Grains English Muffin.

  • The Super Grains English Muffin incorporates Upcycled Foods upcycled brewers' grain ingredient, ReGrained SuperGrain+. According to the companies, the addition of the upcycled ingredient enhances the nutritional profile of the muffins, providing six grams of fiber and six grams of protein per serving.

  • The muffins will be available mid-May through online grocery retailers, Imperfect Foods and Misfits Market. Distribution will later expand to include brick-and-mortar stores and ecommerce. The four-count, 12-ounce pack will have a retail price of USD 5.99.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Upcycled Foods continues to develop upcycled food products by partnering with food manufacturers. Last month, the company also co-developed an upcycled bread line for Kroger's private-label brand, Simple Truth. Prior to that, the company launched an upcycled protein crisp that it jointly developed in partnership with Kerry , an Irish ingredient and food company.
