Informatica, the developer of cloud data management and privacy solutions, has launched CLAIRE GPT, a generative AI tool for its Intelligent Cloud Data Management Cloud (IDMC) offering.
Built on Informatica’s metadata management AI engine, CLAIRE, and a large language model (LLM), CLAIRE GPT will allow natural language interaction with IDMC. The company claims the new solution is industry-first and will simplify how organizations manage their data assets for management and governance.
Alongside the generative AI announcement, Informatica also unveiled new capabilities for its automation tool, CLAIRE Copilot. The update will allow additional data management automation and provide greater visibility of data.
Analyst QuickTake: Informatica is not the first data privacy company looking to leverage generative AI, with BigID launching “BigAI,” a specialized LLM for data discovery, in April. Additionally, Skyflow , Mithril Security , and Private AI are also among the other startups that are developing solutions to protect sensitive information in LLM applications.
