Aleph Farms, an Israeli cell cultured-meat producer, has partnered with world-renowned chef Marcus Samuelsson, who will serve as an investor, culinary advisor, and launch partner.
Chef Samuelsson will work closely with Aleph Farms in developing and promoting Aleph Cuts, the world's first cultivated steaks. His role includes advising on product development, go-to-market strategies, and leveraging his culinary expertise.
Through this partnership, Aleph Farms aims to bring sustainable and cultivated meat to a global audience. The company plans to launch Aleph Cuts in Singapore and Israel this year, followed by the US next year, pending regulatory approvals.
Analyst QuickTake: This news follows the launch of the Aleph Cuts brand earlier this year. Aleph Farms has been focusing on the sustainability of the food industry through its whole-animal approach and working toward price parity for cell-cultured meats. Last month, the company partnered with Thermo Fisher Scientific to establish a supply chain for cell-culture growth media to provide the necessary conditions for scaled production and achieving price parity with conventional meats.
