Alcatraz AI, a facial recognition-based access control systems developer, announced the launch of Rock M, with advanced features targeting original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Rock M has an extended range of up to two meters (6.5 ft) and employs 2D and 3D sensors to enable liveness detection and counter-spoofing attempts, even under challenging lighting conditions.
The new solution allows OEMs to integrate facial authentication into their products. Its applications span various industries, including access control devices, time and attendance terminals, customer management kiosks, data centers, ATMs, vending machines, door locks, automotive systems, ticketing stations, and IoT environments.
Analyst QuickTake: The company also introduced web-based mobile enrollment capabilities in February 2023 and privacy consent managemen t features in December 2022, improving the functionality of “The Rock.” This new feature allows the company to expand its presence in the B2B market by integrating with OEMs.
