Meatable, a Dutch cultivated meat company, has raised USD 35 million in a funding round led by Agronomics, with participation from new (Invest-NL) and existing (BlueYard, Bridford, DSM Venturing, and Taavet Hinrikus) investors.
The funding will be used to scale Meatable's processes and accelerate the commercialization of its first products, including sausages and pork dumplings, in Singapore from 2024. The company also plans to establish a presence in the US in two years.
Recently, the company developed a technology to shorten production time and reduce costs, aiming to make cultivated meat more commercially viable. Further, it conducted tastings of its pork products in Singapore, with plans to expand its production capabilities using larger bioreactors.
