Nature's Fynd, a Chicago-based alt protein company, has received approval from Health Canada, following a comprehensive assessment of its Fy Protein, to commercialize meat alternatives made using Fy.
Fy, derived by fermenting Fusarium strain flavolapis discovered in Yellowstone Park’s geothermal springs, claims to be free from GMO, antibiotics, hormones, or pesticides, and offers twice as much protein as raw peas and 50% more protein than tofu.
