Nasdaq-listed cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks is reportedly negotiating a deal to acquire Talon Cyber Security, an Israel-based secure enterprise browser vendor, for USD 600 million.
The acquisition would allow Palo Alto to expand its existing web security capabilities, which include the detection of threats such as phishing, malware, and command and control.
Founded in 2021, Talon provides secure access to an organization’s applications and data from any device, as well as visibility into user activity and native security features such as authentication, data loss prevention (DLP), and zero trust controls.
Analyst QuickTake: Talon is Palo Alto’s first acquisition in nine months: the company has acquired 13 other companies since 2018, including several Israeli startups. Several cybersecurity players have acquired Israel-based firms recently, including CrowdStrike , which announced its purchase of Bionic earlier this week. Earlier in September, Tenable announced its acquisition of Ermetic , and Check Point acquired SaaS management platform Atmosec .
