Check Point Software Technologies, a security services and software company, announced it has acquired SaaS platform security and management startup Atmosec. The details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Check Point reportedly plans to integrate the startup’s technology and capabilities in its unified “Infinity” security architecture.
Atmosec offers tools enabling the discovery and disconnection of malicious SaaS platforms, visibility of authorized and unauthorized SaaS platforms, prevention of connections from third-party platforms, and misconfiguration remediation.
Analyst QuickTake: Check Point acquired secure service edge (SSE) company Perimeter 81 in August, making this its second acquisition in as many months. Several other cybersecurity players have been acquiring Israeli startups in the last few months, including Rubrik , which bought Laminar earlier in August , and Honeywell , which announced it was in talks to acquire SCADAfence in July.
