Geographic expansion

  • Optibus, a mobility planning and management platform specializing in urban bus transportation, has recently been deployed in Manaus, the capital of the Brazilian state of Amazonas, reaching a significant milestone of deploying its software in 5,000 cities worldwide.

  • The deployment of Optibus in Manaus—where it will reportedly be used to plan the first AI public transportation network—aligns with a broader movement in Brazil to use AI and new technologies to promote sustainable development in the Amazon region and combat deforestation.

  • The company also reported 400% growth in the last two years, 25% in less than two quarters, and an additional 1,000 cities implementing its software in the last five months.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Optibus has achieved significant global expansion, deploying its software in 5,000 cities worldwide, with Manaus, Brazil, being the latest addition. This rapid growth is highlighted by Vienna becoming the 2,000th city in November 2022 and Santiago becoming the 1,000th city.
