Circ, a Virginia-based startup that recycles textile waste, has partnered with material innovator Pyratex in a strategic collaboration to advance sustainable textile production and recycling.
The partnership will leverage Circ’s hydrothermal processing technology, which can extract individual fibers from blended textile waste. Pyratex, known for its innovative spinning, knitting, dyeing, and finishing techniques, will use these fibers to develop responsibly sourced fabrics.
Analyst QuickTake: Circ’s latest partnership with a materials company brings it closer to its goal of recycling 10% of global garment production by 2030, having partnered with fiber manufacturer Acegreen in June 2023. Circ also counts Mara Hoffman , Vivobarefoot , and Zara among its brand collaborations.
