ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based aviation solutions developer, has partnered with the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as part of the latter's inaugural Hydrogen Challenge Sandbox.
As such, ZeroAvia will work with the CAA to ensure increased regulatory readiness, reduced risk of failure, and improved collaboration in the adoption of hydrogen propulsion technologies and fuel.
Analyst QuickTake: ZeroAvia has already partnered with several companies in 2024, including 1) Verne to explore opportunities for using cryo-compressed hydrogen (CcH2) onboard aircraft and for conducting CcH2 refueling from gaseous hydrogen (GH2) and liquid hydrogen (LH2) sources, 2) ScottishPower to provide a low-carbon hydrogen supply in key airport locations, and 3) flyv , an on-demand low-cost flight operator, to explore the use of ZeroAvia’s hydrogen-electric engines in flyv's operations.
