ZeroAvia partners with UK Civil Aviation Authority to improve readiness of hydrogen propulsion

Partnerships

  • ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based aviation solutions developer, has partnered with the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as part of the latter's inaugural Hydrogen Challenge Sandbox.

  • As such, ZeroAvia will work with the CAA to ensure increased regulatory readiness, reduced risk of failure, and improved collaboration in the adoption of hydrogen propulsion technologies and fuel.

  • Analyst QuickTake: ZeroAvia has already partnered with several companies in 2024, including 1) Verne to explore opportunities for using cryo-compressed hydrogen (CcH2) onboard aircraft and for conducting CcH2 refueling from gaseous hydrogen (GH2) and liquid hydrogen (LH2) sources, 2) ScottishPower to provide a low-carbon hydrogen supply in key airport locations, and 3) flyv , an on-demand low-cost flight operator, to explore the use of ZeroAvia’s hydrogen-electric engines in flyv's operations.
