The Vegetarian Butcher, a Unilever subsidiary, has partnered with The EVERY Company (formerly Clara Foods) to improve the texture and nutrition of its plant-based meat alternative products using EVERY EggWhite.
The partnership will focus on incorporating this protein into The Vegetarian Butcher’s product line, including its flagship burger patties, to enhance the texture and nutritional profile. Further, they are also considering expanding the use of this ingredient across multiple markets.
Analyst QuickTake: The EVERY EggWhite is produced without animal components using precision fermentation and mimics the binding properties of traditional eggs. This partnership is the latest in cross-industry collaborations by The EVERY Company, which includes a joint development agreement with plant-based frozen meal developer Alpha Foods and a partnership with Latin American processed foods company Grupo Nutresa.
