Circ, a Virginia-based startup that recycles textile waste, has secured an undisclosed amount of venture funding from Drive Catalyst, the venture capital arm of Far Eastern Group.
The funds will speed up Circ's polyester production from recycled polycotton textile waste while leveraging Far Eastern Group’s manufacturing expertise.
Analyst QuickTake: In February 2024 , Circ partnered with material innovator Pyratex to develop circular fabrics. Circ's technology can separate polycotton-blended textile waste and recover synthetic and cellulosic fibers. The company’s brand collaborations include Mara Hoffman , Vivobarefoot , and Zara .
