Kodiak Robotics, an autonomous vehicle (AV) technology company, has received an order from Artur Express, a trucking carrier, for 100 autonomous trucks installed with Kodiak's self-driving technology.
The companies are currently working to identify suitable lanes within Artur Express's network, which covers 48 states and includes over 800 trucks and 3,200 trailers.
Through this partnership, Artur Express aims to explore the benefits of autonomous trucking technology, such as providing more accommodating schedules for drivers, improving safety by reducing accidents, and potentially reducing fuel consumption.
