Archer Aviation, an NYSE-listed eVTOL aircraft manufacturer, has partnered with Future Flight Global (FFG), an aerospace company that integrates advanced aviation with emerging technologies, to deploy eVTOL services and for a purchase order of up to 116 of the Midnight aircraft.
The Midnight aircraft purchase order is valued at ~USD 580 million, raising Archer's indicative order book to ~USD 6 billion. It is expected that FFG will pay a pre-delivery payment of USD 5 million upon the completion of the formal agreement between the two companies.
The partnership also aims to launch air taxi services globally, with FFG selecting eVTOL routes, collaborating with vertiport providers, seeking ways to deploy the Midnight aircraft to provide on-demand transit to FFG's high-value clients, and Archer and FFG working together for ecosystem development, infrastructure, and regulatory engagement.
FFG will leverage Archer's recent partnerships with Atlantic Aviation and Signature Aviation for the use of the existing vertiport infrastructure network to select routes for the Midnight aircraft in the US.
Analyst QuickTake: The partnership with FFG to launch Archer's eVTOL air taxi services globally will be supported by Archer's previous partnerships from various international markets. The company partnered with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office in October 2023 , InterGlobe Enterprises and Air Chateau International in November 2023, and KakaoMobility in May 2024 to expand its services and operations to the UAE, India, and South Korea.
